Has anybody else heard of a cam shaft sprocket just breaking into pieces? I finally got my stage 3 done this weekend, and the cam sprocket on the exhaust side busted into pieces. I mean it was shredded. I know I did everything right(following WIS and others here on the forum) when I installed my T5 cams a week ago, I even went over it with the mechanic where my car is to make sure my procedure was correct.
So here are my options: used engine from Goldwing installed would be about $3000; fix my engine (a very clean one - not a hint of sludge) for about $40000; or try to sell it as-is and let someone else do the repairs for $3000-4000 (I know the car is worth more than $6-7k with all the upgrades that I have done to it. So what would all of you do?
