Some people say they don't mind just removing it, but if I hold my deflector down I get a considerable amount of wind noise. When I epoxied mine I took the pins out of where the arms link into the deflector so there was no torque on bonding point. I think I used some free weights to hold them in place while they set. I used cheap Walmart epoxy and after two years it appears to be yellowing and cracking. You might want to look for something that's UV-resistant, if it even exists.
