2006 SAAB 95 RIGHT FRONT LOW BEAN HEADLIGHT FAILURE

Greetings!
Last week my 2006 SAAB 95 2.3T sedan, (non-Xenon) right front low beam light went out after I started the car in the garage. I purchased a new bulb and installed it. The car's computer still stated "Light Failure" and the new bulb did not light. I checked the old and new bulb, both were good. I checked the fuse and that was good. I even put in a new #4109070 Lamp Control Unit and the low beam light still does not work.
On Wednesday I had my local SAAB dealer take a look at the electrical system and right headlight unit. They discovered that there is a low beam "internal" problem within the headlight unit. I was informed that the dealer can take the headlight unit apart at my risk and expense to locate the electrical problem or they could install a new right headlight unit at a huge expense, ($700+ and labor at $100+ p/h)
The right headlight unit appears to be "as new" with everything working, except for the low beam headlight. Is there anyway to replace only the low beam parts within the unit? Does anyone have any suggestions for a repair or sources for aftermarket OEM type parts?
Thanks for your assistance and support.
Regards,
Sean
