I have an '07 Aero wagon, a few cars ago I had an '01 LPT wagon. With the '01 I had Yakima racks, and I was able to mount the fairing behind the sunroof as in the pic B Billar posted. I traded an '08 Mercedes R350 on the '07 Saab aero last week (I'm very glad to finally be back in a wagon - that R350 handled about as well as a '69 Ford LTD I drove in high school), and I had Thule aero bars on the Merc. When I transferred them to the Saab, I noticed that the only way to mount the Thule Echelon bike carriers and have enough clearance to open the rear hatch all the way meant that there isn't enough room ahead of the aero bars to mount the fairing.
I have the two echelon bike mounts and kayak holders on the car most of the time, which will be interchanged with a box on occasion. The aero bars don't make very much noise, so I'm not sure I'll need the fairing. I may try to modify the fairing I have to fit, but it looks like it will encroach on the sunroof a bit.
I love the aero bars, as most gear mounts to the slots on the top of the bar making the bars more useful. They're also much quieter than the normal square bars from Thule.
