I have a 2000 9-5 with 3.0L V6. 191K miles. It has seen oil changes every 3000 miles and regular maintenance since the beginning. I live in the east. In the past two months the engine has developed an oil leak somewhere, have yet to determine the source(s) of the leak. Loosing about a quart in 2000 miles. Appears to be leaking from filler and possibly at the front end of the engine too.

The engine runs fine. No lag or lack of power. I did find the vacuum line to the oil trap broken (cracked) and replaced it. Oil trap is original.

The second symptom is that when the engine is hot and idling in traffic, there is a "whitish" color smoke billowing out of the exhaust. Smoke is not visible at cruising speeds.

Does this set of symptoms and mileage point to an issue with the crankcase ventilation or is it indicative of a bad turbo?

Any help is appreciated.
