I went for the full Sport Suspension last year Posted by MI-Roger [Email] (#882) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MI-Roger) on Sat, 16 Apr 2011 14:52:46 In Reply to: Input Please - Replacing Struts or Whole Suspension ?, Mark in Marine (MN), Sat, 16 Apr 2011 09:03:32 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I love it! My car is a 2000lpt and I had around 270,000 miles on the odometer at time of the upgrade.
I'm sure there are better suspension options available, but the improvement per dollar spent for this upgrade may be unbeatable. The ride is firmer but not harsh. The car's stance with the 10mm lowering springs is a visual improvement. The lowered suspension did not cause me any problems with winter driving or clearing the roll-over street curb at the end of our drive.
I had my local Indy install the upgrade for me after pricing out all the possibly single use tools I would need to D-I-Y. He quoted me 6 hours; one hour for each spring/strut conbination, and one hour for each sway bar. The front sway bar gave him fits! Even being a Saab specializing mechanic for 30+ years this was the first 9-5 front sway bar he had replaced.
