rim width, offset and alignment

Attached is one of the rims that were on the 2005 Aero we gave my son a few months ago. Being 2-piece, I want to assume they weren't standard Aero, but an option, anybody confirm?
They are Ronal, 17x8, 35mm offset (8Jx17H2 ET35).
The rims that were on my 2002 Aero and my current 2007 Aero are both 17x7.5, 49mm offset (7.5Jx17H2 ET49).
One of his rims had terrible dent, from side hit on curb (I assume), and he got a flat on another tire. This past weekend I installed the rims from my '02.
His car has terrible toe-in on rear, have scheduled for alignment this Friday.
Would shimming and/or other alignment changes be required changing from the 8" wide to the 7-1/2" wide? If a shop looks up required alignment spec's for this car, and 8" was the standard Aero rims, should they be changed to represent 7-1/2" rims, i.e., should the shop look for alignment specs for an Aero year that didn't have 8"?
thanks
Ed
