I believe your '04 and my '03 have the same tranny.

At 90K I got a 12-quart case of Mobil 3309 for about $75 and did the triple flush. The triple flush is a nuisance to do and it winds up taking a couple hours. But like Roger says, this does get out most of the old fluid. After a 3X flush what some here do is a single drain/fill every 10K to keep the fluid relatively fresher. Not sure it matters, but can't hurt.

The 3309 was $6.25/quart, and fuel mileage is unchanged. You'd have to get a lot better fuel mileage to justify $10/qt for synthetic, IMHO. These trannies seem pretty sturdy, so I'm not sure of the value of using synthetic.
