The later front brake pads are OEM Saab/Akebono ceramic pads but I am not certain about the rear on these years. Akebono offers a ceramic pad for the rr brakes too. If you care about your wheels as well as how they look, Akebono is the pad to utilise- no metallic dust. I recommend you resurface the rotors or replace when you renew with ceramic pads. Recently on my '02 Aero renewed with ceramics all around, Viggen slotted front rotors & GS slotted OEM rr rotors along with Goodridge SS lines. Stops very very well!
