For what its worth, when my snows came off in April and I had the car in the air, I replaced the front pads, only half worn but making a whirring sound, with Autozone's Duralast Max ceramic pads. As good as stock performance, little dust and the noise went away. No problems.
I usually eeuro parts in advance, but forgot and didn't want to raise the car twice. I see no problem with the Autozone pads, $58, IIRC.
Spend $20 more and you get the copper grease for the pins and new retaining springs along with the pads.
