Not being able to personally see the car since its in another state, its tough to say...It does have the 2.3 235 engine I know that for sure. Not really a big deal especially for a $400 project car. The SE as you say, should have the V6. Another part of the SE package was the 5 spoke wheels this car has for sure. Std 9-5 had the 10 or 12 spoke as I recall so I was a bit confused. No big deal, I was just curious as I'm more familiar with the 9-3 than the 9-5. Either way is 170HP without the V6 or Aero package.
As for heads, I will have to do some more research on compatibility. I just have a good 205 head off a 2.0L engine that failed the bottom end I was hoping to use. If it won't work, by brother has a ton of 234 stuff back east and can help me out.
One last thing, since I will basically be "rebuilding" this 235 after the timing chain failure any thoughts on going to a TD-04 turbo for better power/reliability since I have one of those?? ECU/Intercooler need to be changed too?? Thanks guys for the input!!
