at start up. The car was misfiring, changed the IDM. The car then showed symptoms of bad TB with surging at a stop and when cruising. The only CELs were indicative of misfires and were cleared and stayed cleared for two weeks after IDM replacement. After puting in a NEW throttle body, within an hour or so, the car threw the p0101 code. Doing a seach I found that this can be caused by a leaking vacuum line, bad seal on the TB, etc. I know it suggested a Mass air flow issue but the coincidence is just too high. I've checked and rechecked all the hoses and the TB gaskets are sitting right and new. Am I really in for a MAF as well? Really? All the bigs at once? Should I just get a new fuel pump and tranny while I'm in there? Would THAT just about cover it?
The car is a 2001 Aero. 90,000 miles. Engine rebuilt after sludge attack. Can any of you think of something I might have overlooked? The plugs all look fine (with #4 being slightly on the light side). Your help would be greatly appreciated.
Dan
