HI, Jeff from JJJ Performance. I have played with creating a metal lift for the fronts. I have at least three cars with prototypes in them and have been waiting for inquiries about them to see if I should make some up. As said, there are a couple of people with pictures that have also done this on the board.
Car 1 is an 01 V6 Wagon that was at least 1" low in the front even after new struts (can't remember if new springs also, I don't think so). Springs alone are about $160 or more for the front. Put the prototype lifts in and now up to spec. About 155K now
Car 2 is an 01 Aero Sedan with new springs and strut, still had to go up about .5" About 145K now
Car 3 is an 99 Sedan without new springs and was about .75" low. Now up to spec. About 190K now with Wagon springs in the back holding very well with 245 45 17 hi performance tires.
But since the "lowness" in the front really does not effect tow or camber that I know of, there has not been a rush to get these done.......
Please note that bushings were not replaced in any of the above.
