The fluid level of maybe a tad high when hot, I'll check it cold and see where it lands up. The fluid looked normal--light red, no smell. Looks like I can find a used trans on ebay for about 500, and another 500 to install. BUT do I want to do this on a car with 225,000 on the clock? Sell it as-is, part it out, or take it to the yard. If the trans was a easy fix I would do that...1000+ bucks, not so sure.
