Replacing the IDM (DI) requires literally 4 torx screws removed (for the 4cyl), and one wire from the side. The screwdriver for the torx screws are in your trunk, and Shaw Saab (SaabPartsUSA) currently has a new IDM for the cheapest price I've found -recently- of $320.
If the CEL came and left, it's about 98% a bad/dead DI.
