If you can't shoulder the time without the car, then perhaps yes, you should have it done. However, if you can deal with that, and recognize the early symptoms (failure to start hot, usually), and get it in to be repaired straight away, then you could wait.
See if you can get a warranty (AKA IRIS) report out of Saab for the car (they'll need the VIN) to see if that work has been done and reported.
My 2000 SE was running fine, till one day it didn't start up right away at a shopping center. Cooled it off, and drove to my Independent Saab wrench and had it fixed that day.
