AC and outside temp sensor Posted by bstan9k [Email] (#215) [Profile/Gallery] (more from bstan9k) on Tue, 30 Aug 2011 17:57:36 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
So I hit this racoon the other night and it took out the back of my driver's side fog light and a few minutes later I notice my AC isn't working.
I assume this means my outside temp sensor must be malfunctioning. Is it also part of the wiring harness with the fog lights? Anyway my SID shows (. . . .) for the outside temp. I'm thinking this is why my AC is not working.
Looks like I need to remove the front plastic shield to get to the sensor so I can check it's wiring and mounting. Is there a good way to confirm it is still working ? Can I aim a hair dryer or heat gun at it and measure resistance ?
