Just had a '01 9-5 v6 in here with similar symptoms last week. Would run perfectly fine but intermittently would cut off and throw P1320, bank 2 IDM not powered. Simply turn off the ignition, and it would restart and run fine. Sometimes with one cylinder misfiring. Vehicle had both IDMs replaced previously within 18 months. After trying a replacement used ECM, cleaning all the system grounding points, replaced 5 pin system relay. Many hours of diag, wiring diagrams and fault tracing later...
The fault was the red plastic push lock on the IDM 10 min harness. At some point, the red push lock tabs on BOTH front and rear IDMs had gotten reversed. They would still slide in and lock to the IDM, but not draw the harness completely onto the IDM.
Check and make sure the red lock slide is correctly inserted into the black 10pin connector harness from the rear of the vehicle toward the front. (When you pop the red tab off, it slides toward the rear of vehicle) If backwards, perhaps it fell out when they replaced the coil pack two months ago and inserted it on the wrong side. Hopefully this simple fix will correct your problem.
