Flashing CEL, rough idle, loss of power - now nothing

My indy just called me, could not replicate the following problem:
2003 9-5 Aero, 160K.
Last night I was driving on the highway, I added moderate throttle and felt the car shudder (what I would describe as pretty violently). I got off the throttle and babied the car for half a mile but every time I gave it a little gas I could feel it misfire, power output was also decreased. A mile later more shudders and a flashing CEL. Pulled off the road immediately, shit car off, restarted, no CEL. Gave it gas, shudder, misfire, flashing CEL. Shut car off, restart, now the idle was so rough it felt like it was running on 3 cylinders with the car buckling in idle. Shut car off and swapped out DIC (spare in trunk) same rough, bucking idle. Oil ok, coolant clean. I gave it gas up to 4K RPM in park and it seemed to have "cleared its throat something because the idle cleared up and was running normal. I then though I could drive it home, so I started driving but just a few feet into it again, loss of power (air pockets of no throttle response, if that makes any sense), rough idle, bucking, flashing CEL. Had it towed to indy and went to sleep at 3AM. :(
Indy called today, could not replicate the problem, hauled ass around town, gunned it, highway, street. Nothing. No codes stored. Told me to pick it up.
I had a used fuel pump put in recently, use techtron every now and then so I don't think it's a bad pump or clogged filter. I actually had entire fuel/injection system tested recently for an unrelated issue. CPS replaced recently as well. Oxygen sensors are original though. The DIC in there was 3.7 so that leaves... maybe the throttle body? Can a bad throttle body actuate itself in such a way to cause something like this?
Any thoughts or ideas are appreciated! Thanks guys.
