Are you sure it is only one code, same code, all the time relating to EVAP system problems?
A sticking EVAP purge valve can create problems now and then and then be working fine part of the time.
The EVAP test is only checked when tank is between 1/4 and 3/4 so if you would to drive with almost empty tank or full tank for weeks, the test is not run and the light will not go off or on depending on how it was last time the test was ran.
