oil pressure light/warning light Posted by markatl [Email] (#1833) [Profile/Gallery] (more from markatl) on Wed, 28 Sep 2011 09:48:25 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
been a while since ive posted here and I have read back posts about this but still want to run by my situation with you guys.
I just had the oil pressure switch replaced(leaking)on my 02 linear with 75,000 miles. I drove it about 20 miles the next day and both lights came on for about 1 minute(while driving) and went off; neither have come back on in another 20 miles of driving. Car seems to be driving fine. I know about sludge but could this be a short or something to do with the new switch? I bought the car with 45,000 miles two and half years ago and immediately installed the pvc 6 update and have changed oil religiously with synthetic every 5,000 miles. the previous oil change history was spotty and using only semi-synthetic by the dealer.
I am planning to drive to florida tomorrow but that may not happen now. I guess the first step is an oil presure test?
any info would be great- thanks
mark
