I would go for it (the trip to Florida). 45k miles is still a new car when you bought it but I guess one never knows.
Like on the other posts, which are correct, the only way to know for sure is to drop the oil pan and check for sludge (especially if history of car is spotty). If you want to drive your SAAB forever then just do it.
I wish there was another way so I didn't have to drop it on our 2004 Aero Combi (slight sludge - minor). Now I know.
The warning lights may have been just a hiccup after you've done some work.
How's the turbo on your SAAB (condition, any blue smoke from tailpipe?
