Hi guys, me again, 2003 9-5 Aero 165K miles.

So for the last few months I've had this shudder throughout the car. When it started I originally chalked it up to bent rims (50K on NYC roads) however it's been getting progressively worse, leading me to believe something else could be going on.

Here are my symptoms:
-The car vibrates at speeds higher than 40mph.
-When brakes are depressed the steering wheel vibrates strongly, more than the vibrations being transmitted through it at speed.
-When I brake hard, almost locking brakes up, the vibrations almost stop, they're worst when I depress pedal slightly.
-When I am coasting to a stop at a light at slow speeds, the car is "lumpy" two lumps and then a quick third with each rotation.
-above 90mph vibrations subside somewhat, step on brakes, steering wheel goes crazy though.

Now, all of this sounds like warped rotors..BUT!... the vibration is there whether I'm braking or not. Sometimes even, it'll vibrate more on my way to work then when coming back. i.e. I'll step on the brakes and after I let off I'll notice it's vibrating more than before I got on the pedal.

I had ball joint done recently. Sway links as well. Was told the other ball joint has life left. The rest of the front suspension is original though. Car tracks dead straight, vibrates like hell but tracks dead on with no strange tire wear. My rims take weights but balance well on top of the line hunter equipment. I feel like the car will be torn apart by this strong shudder... is this as simple as warped rotors???
or maybe cracked pad or pad come off it's backing? worn suspension components?

thoughts appreciated! thanks.
