Questions on a NG 9-5 Posted by MI-Roger [Email] (#882) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MI-Roger) on Sat, 19 Nov 2011 08:46:48 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
A local Dealer is offering lot clearing prices on new Saab, $16K off all NG 9-5s with their 4-cylinder Premium models selling for only $28K. This is less than the price of used NG 9-5s on other lots. I know I will need a new car within a couple years, my 2000 lpt with 313K miles won't last forever, so maybe now is the opportune time.
So I have a couple questions that I know I can get answered when inspecting the cars - IF I remember to look.
1) How much clearance exists between the seat cushion and upper door opening? My boss drives a new LaCrosse and every time I get in her car I smack my head on the roof. I am slightly less than average in height and find this head room unacceptable. On my OG 9-5 I can actually enter my car while wearing a hard hat without smacking the door opening. Has anyone noticed low rood clearance when entering/exiting NG 9-5s?
2) What is included in the Premium Pkg on the NG 9-5? Sunroof? Better radio? Availability of additional options? The Saab USA website isn't too clear (at least to me) on what is included?
A NG 9-5 for $28K, a new 9-3SS for $24K, or keep driving the best car I've ever owned? Too many decisions.
