Installed spring spacers-now the car rides HARD

Installed new rear springs (OEM 01 aero wagon) and 2 weeks later ride height was 585mm. Made 25mm spacers and installed them yesterday as the last thing to do before alignment today (complete f&r suspension/bushing rebuild).
I had driven the car for 2 weeks without the spacers(with new Monroe OESpectrum and springs) and the ride was very soft, but now I feel every little ripple in the road.
The car aligned nicely, although I needed 2 shims on the bottom of the drivers side and 3 shims on the top of passenger side to bring the car to spec on the camber.
Any suggestions on the hard ride would be appreciated. The only factor that dramatically changed the ride character was the spacers-and I really would like the car to be more compliant.
Thanks as usual
