LOL. Do you know how I knew?
I looked at the first ones myself wondering about that silvery metal like ring.
Now I have seen many through the years.
I ALWAYS install new ones there since it is a source for vacuum leak and since these engines are sensitive for unmeasured vacuum, when you have several small sources like that, it will set the Check Engine light.
Brake booster pipe nipple o-rings are another source of small vacuum leaks as is the vacuum tree nipple on intake and the o-ring down by the turbo air intake pipe to turbo.
