This started with the TCS Light coming on at the beginning of the day and has now progressed to throwing more codes and then limp mode and stalling at speed.
Now the symptoms are..
1) Clear Codes, TCS Light is off.
2) Runs find for a bit, maybe 20-30 miles.
3) TCS Light Comes on (and if not in limp mode, goes into limp mode)
4) Car stalls at speed even tough I am hitting the gas a bit
5) Car starts right up again if I pull over and / or rolling neutral and start the car.
6) TCS Light stays on and throws codes.
7) Will run about 20-50 miles until it does 4) again.
Codes are
1251 Throttle Motor
1260 Spring Throttle Too Low
1261 Throttle Bind
1264 Throttle Bind When Pedal Released.
So, is this a speed sensor problem, or a throttle body problem? Can the speed sensor be throwing the tcs off and then goes into limp mode? Or can a throttle body issue throw the TCS off?
Car is running fine otherwise.... When running has full power, etc. Although in the V6 it is very hard to tell if you are in limp mode. Only the Cruise Control does not work.
I will be testing tomorrow more with the limp mode off and see if we get the same thing.
Is a 1999 i4 Throttle body the same as an 2001 V6? I assume no....
