I have done a few turbos, but not the center portion. Will have to have someone watch the oil comes out. Maybe someone that has done the center replace can tell. I did just dump oil out because of leaving an old filter gasket on and did not check.
I always use the old copper washers with no problem. I never reuse the alum washers that I have found on only one. I assume this might have been someone else putting the alum in....
You do have to make sure to have two washers per banjo bolt, one on each side.
The one with the alum (I left in at first) did push oil out pretty fast.
