I should say that this is a car bought in Ontario Canada. It originated from Quebec Canada. When I discussed the VIN with the dealer today, I explained it was likely an 9-5 ARC that he sold me. He stated the VIN's were different in Canada compared to American cars. Not sure what to believe.
The bill of sale reads:
2008 Saab 9-5-AERO
Trim Level AERO-S/W.
I'm quite certain I don't own an AERO. I didn't realize the ARC existed for this year, but it sure makes more sense. I'm quite amazed a big dealer can't distinguish one 9-5 from another. He also knew I was looking for a AERO so I kinda feel he was preying on my passion.
This car really is sweet in 5-speed. Reminded me alot of the 9000 series.
Ultimately I'd like to educate the dealer and know for certain what car I bought. The idea of misrepresenting a car is a whole different situation from a dealer standpoint.
Thank you all for shedding some light on this subject.
