I recognize the 2008 Saab 9-5 SportCombi 2.3T has the same engine specs as an Aero. Aside from the ride height being higher. Coming from a family of Saabaholics, with this car being the eighth currently active Saab in my family. With a combined past and present stable of seventeen different Saab makes and models. My wife and I could not be prouder or more excited to own this wagon. We have wanted this car for a long time. So at the end of the day, we are sure to enjoy this drive for many years to come.I am sure.
I really was just wanted clarification from the people who know best...which is all of you, the Saab owners of Saabnet. I just don't want to hear a dealer tell me several times over, that the car I bought is an Aero. For the simple reason he knew I was looking for an Aero. The Carfax on my brothers 2007 9-5 Aero lists his as an Aero. The Carfax for my 2008 9-5 does not list it as an Aero.
I would not be offended, or love this car any less if the dealer would just call it what it is. It sure is great to see the passion that exists for this beautiful brand of car, and certainly appreciate everyone's input on the matter. I look forward to many 9-5 discussion's in future. I also look forward to the day the the Saab brand rises up again "like a Phoenix from the ashes"-VM.
Cheers,
Matthew
