I thought the question was being posted by someone who had never owned a Saab, and who might think the yellow cap was the oil fill only while the transmission dipstick tube went to the engine crankcase.
I would still be leery of possible engine sludging. But if you can get the car for only $700 the salvageable parts would be worth far more than that IF the engine craps out shortly after purchase.
