180K Service V6 Posted by pme [Email] (#1496) [Profile/Gallery] (more from pme) on Thu, 8 Mar 2012 07:03:32 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Folks:
2003 9-5 Arc (V6) Sedan, currently ~170K miles
I'm looking at doing the big 180K service early (before the summer) versus doing it in the fall. Will be doing alot more driving this summer seeing colleges for one of my kids, so figured I'd get the benefit of a freshly serviced car!
Car has been faithfully serviced at either the dealer or a good Saab Indy.
Indy will do the 180K (including the timing belt and ATF service). He will recommend the water pump, which I will do given the current one has >90K on it. I am also thinking that the timing belt tensioner should also get changed (dealer did it at 60K, and we skipped it at 120K).
What else should I discuss with him since so much of the belt side of the engine will already be disassembled?
Thanks in advance
pme
