Rear Lower Control Arm - Breaking

Hello,
In January had the rear lower control arm break on my 1999 9-5. Was towed to a local shop - he replaced the lower control arm. Now 2300 miles later it has broken again. Luckily this time I was getting ready to leave the driveway and not moving fast.
I looked last night under car and saw a clean break in the arm. I realize that this is a symptom of the problem and there must be an underlying cause. I will jack up and work on this weekend. Wanted to get your expertise before I went and ordered parts. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Pete
