After years of paying the experts to do the work, I always figured what I was saving on labor justified what I was buying in tools. It is worth the call to get a quote on a repair.I found that the local shop could install a muffler , pipe, etc on my car cheaper than what I could buy the parts for.
Some things are worth having others do.
Get a good 1/2 inch drive Metric socket set (long and short socket), star drive set,and star bit set.
PB blaster for soaking parts before you work on them.
I love spraying down the are to be worked on with simply green degreaser, then rinsing off.It is much more pleasant to work in a clean area.
