If you're going to do the cabin filter - get a decent ratcheting screwdriver with a 1/4 inch socket set. There are quite a few fasteners to remove. If you're going to do the Saab Aux installation you'll need a set of plastic pry tools to remove the electrical components in the dash. You can get a decent set from Harbor Freight.
If you've decided to work on cars from here on, get decent tools. They'll last a lifetime - and most good ones carry a lifetime warranty. Some examples: Snap-On, Matco, Mac, S-K, and Craftsman Pro. They're not cheap but you'll buy most of them only once. Sometimes you can find them at garage sales.
Tools I surprisingly use a lot - Needle-nose vice grips, long tweezers (picking up stuff from where my fingers won't fit), forceps (help gripping little parts), dental picks (for removing o-rings and threading wires), diagonal wire cutters (cutting cable ties), and old yogurt containers to store screws you remove and need to put back later.
As others have stated - get a decent floor jack and jack stands - probably $100+ at Sears. You'll also need chocks for the set of wheels not being raised. Pieces of 2x4 will suffice. Saab 9-5s can be jacked from the center at both the front and rear. The jack-stands go where you'd typically attach the spare tire jack near the wheels. NEVER work under a car that's only supported by a jack! Good luck, and have fun working on your Saab.
