I decided to go to my local Indie shop and this is why Posted by Saabpilot [Email] (#134) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Saabpilot) on Tue, 26 Jun 2012 07:56:34 In Reply to: 2008 9-5 100K Warranty - Are GM Dealers Honoring?, saabniner [Profile/Gallery] , Sun, 24 Jun 2012 10:48:46 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I had the same question. The only dealer in my town is and always has been sorely incompetent to work on SAABs as they were focused on many other European brands and seem to enjoy talking down to SAAB owners. I decided, simply for the sake of time to take my car to my local, trusted independent mechanic and bite the bullet. There's no way I was going to let the butchers at the former dealer touch my car even though warranty would have covered it. My trusted SAAB dealer is not local (90 miles away) and I didn't have the time to take it there otherwise I would have. Personally, I would not take the car anywhere I wasn't comfortable even if they used to sell SAABs or could offer a GM warranty.
Now my 5 year / 100,000 warranty is out of it's time limits anyway.
