My ninth Saab (1st-'7599LE 4-speed) is also an '08 Aero SC, and best yet ever. Bought last year with 61K, overall in excellent condition, and a great "looker." It is easy to get over the GM-ish subtle influences, they didn't really do enough to alter the Saab philosophy, as stated earlier a great value. Compared to my last Saab ('97 9000 Aero) it is smoother, more powerful, handles better (love the IRS), and overall is tighter. The only knock I had is I miss my old Recaro's in the 9000, probably the best seats Saab put into a car. The current ones look good, but are slightly smaller in the bolsters area, as if meant for a smaller person (I'm not a large person by any stretch, 5'10", 185lbs, BMI in upper teens); I feel like I need to lose some weight every time I get into it. Otherwise, a very fine automobile, one of Saab's best IMO.
