I took my '07 9-5 Aero SC (auto, 65k) on a nearly 6k mile road trip from Seattle to STL, Chicago, Minneapolis and back to Seattle over the past month, the car was brilliant. I can't think of too many other vehicles that would've been as fun with all the gear I brought along. Rear cargo area was nearly full, two kids, a dog, and a full roof box. I drove the car pretty hard, speeds were usually between 80-95+ for most of the trip, with a few stints up mountain grades with quite a bit of boost.

The car consumed a decent amount of Mobil 1 (0W-40), I put in nearly 3 quarts over the 6k miles. Car now has 72k on it and I'm going to get an oil change this week - while it's there I'll have them check for obvious leaks or pcv issues. Before the trip the car had a 60k service where nothing abnormal was found.

My original thought was that since I was driving at such high speeds with a very loaded vehicle, that the turbo was consuming quite a bit of the oil.
