You will not have that much space anyway unless you drop the exhaust. And you have to undo the rear engine mount (done from top). And without unbolting the steering rack I do not know how much play you will have.
And the biggest problem remains with pulling out the old bushing outer shell out of the subframe (you will be pushing upwards).
I read about folks doing it themselves but would not want to do it myself.
As for the poly installation, it is NOT nearly as easy as described in the Powerflex procedure. Once lubed, the bushing is very slippery. As we did it - We'd insert it into the subframe opening at 45 deg as deep as we could. then squeeze the middle part with adjustable pliers. At the same time one would apply weight on the bushing, while #2 would use the pliers and a flat screwdriver to squeeze and prod the bushing into the subframe. Sounds difficult but is just the matter of good coordination between the installers.
We tried a press-on tool first, but since the poly bushing deforms rather easily and it is greased, we could not maintain its straight position.
$700 would sound sort of reasonable to me, if they also did the control arm buhings, stabilizer bar bushes and wheel alignment after that.
