Hi all,

The 2005 Arc had a minor rear end accident when a pick up truck drove into me at a stop sign a few years back. It was a minor repair and only the bumper cover was replaced. $1800 bucks.

The dealer saw this in the history or car fax and said this hurt the value. They only gave me $4000 for the car. Considering 116,000 miles on it, and the issue with Saab going out of business, I was satisfied with the trade. I got some other incentives off the price of the Volvo which was below their invoice. It worked out pretty well for me considering I have seen multiple used Saab's in the Atlanta area on auto trader in the 6000 to 7300 range with less miles than mine.

I checked and they are selling it on the used lot for $6995. If someone comes in and buys it for $5500, they dealer makes $1500 on it. there was also a small pea sized dent in the rt rear door that I amsure they could have had popped out for $75.

The onstar delete shark fin on mine was deteriorating badly, but other than that the interior and silver paint was beautiful. I always clay barred and waxed it. It had one year old Michelin Primacy's and new front brakes. The leather was amazing in my Saab.

What will stay with me was the raw muscle car power the turbo added to the driving experience. If I needed to drop the hammer, that 9-5 would scald the dogs. I would gladly go up against most cars on the road if I was already rolling (less the new more powerful ones).

To the best of my knowledge the old 9-5 had no governor. One time on a road trip from Georgia to Chicago as I dozed in the passenger seat, I looked over and my wife was doing about 120 north of Nashville.

I asked her, "Do you see how fast your going?" "She said...Hey, I want to get there!"

Here are the things I fixed myself, thanks to this forum:
Oil Changes
Cabin Air Filter
Engine Air Cleaner
Spark Plugs
Vacuum Lines
Battery
Fob batteries
Time for service light
Transmission refill
Torque Specs on fasteners
throttle body diagnostics
proper oil weight and change frequency

Thanks again all!
