I can't believe the way you all bash OnStar. Try being out in the middle of Ohio on a hwy you have never been on with 3 hungry kids inthe back seat. You want the nearest fast food joint to quiet the kids. OnStar has pulled my wife and I out of that jam several times on our road trips. OnStar is not perfect but then nothing is. We never hesitate to used it.

On another road trip we blew a rear tire at 70+ mph (The 9-5 handled beautifully) I got the car to the road side called OnStar instead of SAAB roadside, OnStar contacted SAAB Roadside for us. Saving us minutes on the cellphone. They stayed on the line and when SAAB was going to dispatch a wrecker from Ann Arbor some 45 miles away from our location I had them locate the nearest Discount Tire, then connect us to the tire store. I checked that store's inventory found they did not have a Michelin in stock they gave me the store that did. I called OnStar back for directions they lead me right to the place. I have nothing but praise for the service.
