I paid $16k for my '07 last year with 38k on it, perhaps a tad high, but I have not ever had this much value in a car. I previously had an '01 9-5 lpt wagon that bought new, then got an '04 Volvo V70R also bought new, then got an '08 Mercedes R350 bought new. When I compare the value that I'm getting out of this '07 Aero to the others there is just no comparison.
My ride score is compared to my other current vehicle, a '10 BMW 335i xDrive with run-flats. The Saab is much more comfortable on the rather spotty pavement that we have here in the PNW, if I have to go anywhere more than 100 miles away I almost always take the Saab.
I drove an '07 Mercedes E63 AMG wagon recently while my car was being serviced, I was really expecting to like that car more - but when I got back in my Saab Aero I just couldn't justify $45k for an '07 AMG Merc - even if it was a wagon. The acceleration was mental, but the Aero does quite well in the 40-70 mph range and gets ·much· better fuel economy. I feel like I stole the thing when I remind myself of how little I paid for it.
