Hey my huge thanks to everyone for your trouble.
As for the plugs they were not bad. A light ochre color with two showing a little black only. Certainly seen worse plugs after 27,000mls.
It is true that my drives are mostly short, but it is definitely worse than very recently was the case. Long one coming up tomorrow. Will be interesting.
No low voltage events. Will do the disconnect etc later today. I would NEVER have thought of that one.
Oil pressure light does come on at ignition as you would hope.
Oil is Mobil 1 fully synthetic 0W-30 and is changed r-e-l-i-g-i-o-u-s-l-y at less than 5000mls and has been for the life of the car.
Oil consumption is remarkably negligible.
It runs well and seems good in all obvious engine respects but it hates the hot weather and performance is degraded then.
I did all the brakes myself and I also did the dragging brake check myself. So I am off now to get that checked on a hoist.
Will let you know.
THANK THANK YOU THANK YOU guys.
