Fuel line check valves replacement gone wrong... Posted by felchi80 [Email] (#911) [Profile/Gallery] (more from felchi80) on Tue, 23 Oct 2012 18:05:58 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
So trying to solve my low fuel pressure on morning starts.... I decided to change my pressure regulator up front and the two rear check valves on the pump.
I bought the valve kit from Eeuro... the return fitting was black and no valve inside... I've read that it should be fine for the return.... the feed one looks like the old one...
Now after changing all that... I'm getting a noise in the pump now!!!and its not idling properly... as if the fuel pressure was not constant!
Before changing the valves... pump was fine... really... please someone tell me t should just put back the return fitting with the valve... I really don't wanna change the pump now especially that I have a full tank now!!!
I put back the original regulator... same thing.....
I just wanna make sure before I order a pump... the return check valve does not need the little white valve right? Because the replacement does not have it. It would make sense that only the feed valve is needed for pressure...
Talking about pumps.... TheSaabSite seems to have the kit for 30 bucks... are they good? Or should i get a walbro? And there's also two options... one with a straight hose and one curled... how do I know which one do I need?
Thanks....
