Jeff, thanks for the writeup - always nice to know the wrench sizes before digging in... I'm adding to this thread now for someone else who searches this up like I did...
could not find a 19mm gear wrench fast locally (18mm was the largest size in the store I went to), but an appropriately chosen 19mm deep socket makes the temperature sensor swap an absolute walk in the park. Fits right over the whole sensor... This also makes it easy to do just the sensor - don't even need the rad hose off!
