I'm on my 2nd 9-5. Leased a '99 base and came back for an '02 Aero. No reliability problems. I'm usually tired of a car after a few years. I still looked forward to driving my '99 at the end of the lease (and would have bought it if 1) the lease incentives weren't so great, and 2) I had not driven the Aero). I really look forward to driving the Aero. I can't say that about many other cars I've owned.
Don't sweat the black. It really depends on how persnickety you are. If you must have a spotless car all the time, then perhaps you made a mistake, but come on, there's much more to life than a spotless car! Apologies to those I'm going to offend, but here's my run down of the colors: I think a dirty black looks better than beige.. err hazelnut any day, and white, yes I agree with AeroLady, is for old folks. The two silvers are not too bad. I think the light green looks nice, but might look "tired" in a few years. Red screams mid-life crisis (at least for a 40-ish man). Dark blue, why not just get black? Cosmic blue? Never seen it in person, but seems a bit too much "look at me" from the pictures.
I guess this is why cars come in different colors :)
Cheers,
Stan
