If you have a sedan it on the underside of the parcel shelf so lay in the trunk on your back and unplug the connections from both of the boxes/ control units. They used 2 for the onstar. If you have a wagon lift up the cubby hole on the right side under the sub woofer and unplug both the control units.
Another commen draw I have seen is on the acc unit, pull out the acc control unit and see if their is corrosion or liquid in the connector due to the great location of the cup holder.
