NAPA sells a 1 foot section of the Gates line in a bag, but it is expensive, almost a third of the cost of the pump itself ($25).
The submersible fuel line is 5/32 ID while the plastic line is 1/4. I warmed up a piece of the old line and pushed it onto the new pump barb, then put the new rubber line over top of it. Use a stainless steel clamp to hold the new line on. Its been good for couple of years and at least 25K miles.
