Update on Saab Fuel Pump Assembly?.... Posted by TonyJ [Email] (#407) [Profile/Gallery] (more from TonyJ) on Sun, 23 Dec 2012 09:29:49 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Thanks again for all the very helpful posts. NAPA wanted $31 for 1' of 5/16 Gates Submersible fuel hose, which they would have to order. But Auto Parts and Stuff has it: Gates - 27093 - Fuel Line Hose - Submersible 5/16" $15.29. Somewhere, I read that it can take 100PSI, so I don't think plastic snowmobile fuel hose will work.
In our road kit, there is a 10" length of the hard plastic (nylon) hose like Saab use inside the tank; anyone know the proper way to heat form it? My son suggested boiling water.
I also confirmed that the 9000 tool I made to remove the big fuel pump ring also fits the 9-5. See: Member Gallery Album: TonyJ's Pix | Saab Tools You can Make (Road).
Merry Christmas.
