2003 9-5 aero wagon MT. Went for an inspection and they were clueless on the reverse lockout, broke it for me. Whole thing was moving randomly, somehow they got it back right and the plastic angle piece (i now know that is 4490314) with the fork that goes down that blocks accidental reverse has broken. they put it back for the moment and i drove it home--they know nothing of saabs, not going back. I have ordered the part 4490314, was told it was an easy replacement (30 miles to the only tech i know who can do it right). Anyone willing to give me a step by step? (I've already pulled the boot off, played wit the broken part, but an earlier post by Anders said you need to pull the whole assembly, but the part may be improved now.)
Thanks in advance. I'm not looking to save money, just fearful of driving without that piece secure.
